This year has started out pretty good for music. We have gotten some new tracks from some artists who have been missing in 2018. Not only have we been getting a consistent flow of music, but we’ve also been receiving a lot of music news. So let’s get into the hottest music so far in 2019 and what we have to look forward to in the upcoming weeks.

Chris Brown – “Undecided”

Chris Brown is back with his first single off his upcoming untitled project ‘Undecided”. The track was produced by Scott Storch, who previously worked with Chris on his first single ‘Run It’ off his debut self titled album. On the track, Brown discusses the stress of his current relationship and how it’s affected his mental state. The track samples Shanice’s ‘I Love Your Smile”.

Future – “Crushed Up” & “Jumpin on a Jet”

As he is preparing to release his next project The WZRD, Future gave us two singles and a documentary. His first single “Crushed Up” was produced by Wheezy. The second, Jumpin on a Jet‘ dropped shortly afterward along with the artwork for the project. I expect this project to be huge. From the sound of the two singles, it’s on point with how the city (Atlanta) sounds right now. To people outside of the city, it seems like he may be struggling by dropping back to back singles before he releases THE WZRD will be available on all streaming platforms Friday (Jan. 18).

Gasaffelstein & The Weeknd – “Lost in the Fire”

The French producer Gesaffelstein recruited The Weeknd for their new single ‘Lost in the Fire.’ The song gained a lot of buzz fast after some believed The Weeknd was taking shots at Drake with his line “And I just want a baby with the right one/‘Cause I would never be the one to hide one.” I personally think people are just reaching, but it got the song a lot of attention. I expect the Weeknd to use this song to get himself going this year and give us a project.
