It’s been a great week for music. Possibly one of the best weeks for music this year yet. We’ve gotten new singles from Rick Ross, Big Sean, H.E.R., and more. Chance the Rapper also released his debut album The Big Day this past Friday. So for those who haven’t had an opportunity to sort through all of the new music, here’s a round-up of what to listen to this week.

Rick Ross – “Gold Roses” (feat. Drake)

“Gold Roses” serves as Rick Ross’ lead single to his upcoming album Port of Miami 2. The track features Drake and shows off the chemistry they’ve built over the years. The track comes just a month after Drake released “Money in the Grave”.

H.E.R. – “21”

In celebration of her 22nd birthday (July 27), H.E.R. shared a song she recorded on her 21st birthday. On the track, H.E.R. spoke about her journey up to that moment in time. She also gave thanks to those who’ve helped her get to that point.

Davido & Chris Brown – “Blow My Mind”

Is a collaboration between Davido, a Nigeran singer, and Chris Brown. It’s a song that I feel will continue the afrobeat wave that’s been bubbling in the states.

Bryson Tiller – “Blame”

The name of this song says it all. “Blame” features Bryson blaming himself over a failed relationship. Throughout the track, he thinks about his past mistakes and wonders if he could’ve done anything different to have changed its outcome.

Big Sean – “Single Again”

Big Seans pulls a solid move by featuring his former-girlfriend Jhené Aiko on his new single “Single Again”. To have your ex sing chorus on a song celebrating your independence from her is genius. The song also features vocals from Ty Dolla $ign.
