For a couple of months, the world as we know it has changed. Mostly thanks to the Coronavirus the way we do things has altered our lives and how we must now think. It is stressful to be in the predicament where you are essentially an inmate in your own home or unemployed. As a creative, it’s been hard for me to gather the motivation and inspiration to create. The one thing that this pandemic allowed me to do is to think and realize more the importance of information and storytelling as a writer. While not being able to fully go out and waste time I’ve started back reading different kinds of publications. This inspired me to focus more on documenting things in my life again. It basically motivated me to journal more and share more of my thoughts on life as I know it again.

When I started out writing years ago journaling helped me express myself and track my thoughts over time. Honestly, I don’t remember why I’ve stopped. Even in my personal journal, I’ve stopped journaling and when I did filled my notebook with only entries out of stress or anger. Nevertheless, reading reports and articles of how people are dealing with how life is have inspired me to return to actually doing it for myself once again. The way the writers conveyed the stories and documented them is one of the main reasons I’m into journalism.

So with that, I am going to focus back on that mission. Not only to help me release some inner thoughts but to inform and inspire others. Boxing myself in with just sharing one aspect of myself isn’t doing me any good now or in the long term. I miss being able to go back in time and relive life through my writing. I’m honestly a better writer sharing my thoughts and stories. This will be the first of many journal entries. They will be sorted out for those who just want to view them along with other interests. This blog has been sitting for months with no progress and it’s time to change that. This is more for me than anything else to have something to look back and relive. Feel free to share your input on whatever topic that’s discussed and join in on the conversation.
