HOT TRACKS: Two Thousand Five

Thinking back, 2005 was a good pretty good year for me. During that year I spent a lot of time listening to music and expressing myself in more artistic ways. One of those ways was writing. Inspired by a high school teacher to dig deep and release my thoughts into a notebook since it was more difficult to open up and share vocally. During those days before writing in a journal/diary entry, most people wrote some unique subheadings. These subheadings often contained songs, weather, mood, etc. after the name of the entry. In flipping through some old notes and entries, I decided to share some of them from that year. This will be a different kind of deep dive into the music that I love. 001: S L E E P E R S

When you think about it there is a lot of good music that falls through the cracks in the industry today. This is due mostly to the increase in artists output and a decrease in consumer’s attention spans. Speaking for myself, I don’t have time to comb through playlists and blogs to find this music as much as I used to.
