We are one month into the new year and we’ve seen a consistent flow of new music. For me, I am still stuck on a couple of projects from last year that has high replay value for me. That’s something rare for an artist to do these days. Most focus on having singles that land at the top of the charts instead of an album that does. The 00s was a good period musically for me. I was a student in high school during the early 00s and was exposed more than ever before to music thanks to the rise of the internet. Prior to that time I only experienced music through radio and music video countdowns. One of my favorite genres in high school was R&B. Since I was into writing, I was drawn more to that genre because of just that. So this week I will be taking a look at some of my favorite R&B songs from that era. I will also be sharing my Spotify playlist which is always being updated. So let’s get to it.
