Khalid & 6LACK: The Ambassadors of Mood Music

So I was laying around listening to music and noticed how 6LACK and Khalid have been featured on a ton of music over the last couple of years. They have silently been two of the hottest artists in the industry. Even though their style of R&B isn’t too popular in the mainstream, it is a growing sound on the underground circuits. This is primarily the main reason why they have been highly sought after for features. Over the last two years or less, 6LACK  alone has been featured on over 40 tracks. HOT TRACKS: Two Thousand Five

Thinking back, 2005 was a good pretty good year for me. During that year I spent a lot of time listening to music and expressing myself in more artistic ways. One of those ways was writing. Inspired by a high school teacher to dig deep and release my thoughts into a notebook since it was more difficult to open up and share vocally. During those days before writing in a journal/diary entry, most people wrote some unique subheadings. These subheadings often contained songs, weather, mood, etc. after the name of the entry. In flipping through some old notes and entries, I decided to share some of them from that year. This will be a different kind of deep dive into the music that I love.
